One Last Salute

This may be the last thing that I write for long
Can you hear me smiling when I sing this song, for you and only you

As I leave will you be someone to say good-bye
As I leave will you be someone to wipe your eye
My foot is out the door, and you can't stop me now

You wanted the best, it wasn't me, will you give it back
Now I'll take the lead, when there's no more room to make it grow
I'll see you again, you'll pretend you're naive, is this what you want
Is this what you need, how you end up let me know.

As I go, remember all the simple things you know,
My mind is just a crutch and I still hope, that you will miss me when I'm gone
This is the last song

The hearts start breaking as the year is gone
The dream's beginning and the time rolls onIt seems so surreal, now I sing it.
Somehow I knew that it would be this way,
Somehow I knew that it would slowly fade.
Now i'm gone, just try and stop me now.

And will you need me now, you'll find a way somehow
You want it too, I want it too.

As I go, remember all the simple things you know,
My mind is just a crutch and I still hope, that you will miss me whenI'm gone
This is the last song
This is the last song
This is the last song...

- The Last Song by The All-American Rejects

This is it. My last hoorah before I'm off to basic training. I'll be gone a while. 9 and a half weeks minimum, somewhere around 26 weeks maximum. I just want you all to know that I'm thinking about you and I can't wait to come home to see what I missed.

I don't know if I'll regret going to the Army or where life takes me from this point. I've had a proper send-off from my best friends in the world, both in real life and online. I'm going to miss all the laughs and tears that I get to share with you guys, but rest assured, I'll be back soon enough better than ever.

In not too short of a time, my good friend Terri (VampyreHuntress@aol.com) will contact all the mofos that matter with my address that you can all send me hand-written letters to while I'm away. She'll also be sending all you mofos some semi-regular updates about how I'm doing, seeing that I'll be writing her.

Anyway, I love ya guys and I hope you'll still be around when I get back. That's all I have to say, so wish me luck and I'll see you all when I see you!

Signed with high regards,
