"Pimp, Garth, Pimp"

Dad's Birthday Party

I went to my Dad's Birthday party last night. It was a lot of a fun, man.

There was a lot of food, music, and plenty of drink. I watched my stepmother try to teach the white girls at the party how to shake it, and how to say a few spanish phrases. My dad was dancing in the living room almost the entire night while the music never stopped. I mingled and laughed a bit with my dad's friends and had a few beers. Me and my dad both vented about work and how we were thinking of looking around and moving on to newer places. I can't recall us ever having a conversation about work where we spoke as equals "in the daily struggle" and not father and son. It was nice, I really liked the feeling I got when I reflected on it shortly after.

I talked to my little brother while I there for a while also. That lucky little punk was showing me his new video game chair with the speakers and subwoofer built into it. We talked a little bit of wrestling and played some games. He's still a "mark" for the stuff they do on TV in the wrestling show, and I tried to "smarten him up" a little bit before I left.

Saw my younger sister as well and she was quiet as usual and was chatting with her friends through MySpace. I went over there and read her MySpace page and I found it very enlightening. I haven't had a chance to spend that much time with her in the last few years since moving out, and after reading a bit I realized I really don't know her very well anymore. Of course, it's always hard to know a young teen unless you are that teen, or you're in their circle of friends.

Before heading home my dad and I had the usual talk about me coming by more often and I felt guilty like I always do afterward, we hugged, said "I love you", and I drove home. I was given a bag of food to take home like always and most of it is gone already... as usual. Good food must be eaten, not refrigerated, I always say.

It was one of the more entertaining nights at my dad's in a long time. I probably had more to drink than I've ever had while I was there, and I left about an hour after my last drink to come home to my wife. She stayed at the house after doing laundry at her mother's house and feeling sick when she came home. I gave her the cake in the bag and gave her a kiss.

Then we went to the bedroom, read our books for about a half an hour, turned off the lights, and went to sleep. It was good Saturday.

VideoBlog

The Unofficial First Episode

I say Unofficial because it's early, and it's a complete "work in progress". It's so raw, that I'd expect the proceeding editions to seems totally different in tone and delivery as I find my direction. And probably about ten minutes shorter with less audio of me saying,"Uh...".

EPISODE ONE:
Dick Cheney
Weed in Washington State
Canada & Pornography

Until then, this is what it is, so tell me what you think.

In Memory

My little brother Josh recently sent me this picture in an e-mail and I felt like posting/sharing it. I think came out pretty good.

My brother Mike asked me where my tattoo was, and all I could do was laugh. I don't have a single tattoo, and besides that I doubt I could find a spot on my body not covered in wolverine-like hair to put one lol!

Video Segment coming soon... hopefully

I say hopefully because I've already had problems with youtube deleting some of my uploaded files.

Also, I've been ridiculously absent as of late and the SS9090 Blogger awards are still coming.
